Procedure 1: Toggle on Full-Screen gestures

If you want to hide the navigation bar on One UI. So you have to use the Full-screen gestures option. Here is the way to turn on the Full-screen gestures on One UI.

  1. Go to the Settings on your Samsung device running One UI.
  2. Click on Display.
  3. Click on the Navigation bar.
  4. Now you are able to view the Navigation buttons option. And also below that the Full-screen gestures option. Simply click on Full-screen gestures and the navigation bar would be gone.
  5. Now you have to also turn on Gesture hints till you obtain used to how Full-screen gestures work.

Whether we do not confirm that why Samsung decided to delete the option to hide the navigation bar. When not in use although the Full-screen gestures work very well.

Similarly, you can also turn off the three bars (gesture hints). Which display at the bottom of the screen when you turn on the Full-screen gestures. So here is the way to turn off the Gesture hints.

  1. Head to the Settings and choose Display.
  2. Click on the Navigation bar and then head to the bottom of the page.
  3. From here, simply toggle off Gesture hints.

Procedure 2: Using the Hiding Navigation Bar app (ADB required)

Multiple applications are present there on the Play Store that permits you to fully hide the navigation bar. Although for this guide, we will use the Hide Navigation Bar application.

Be aware that you have to access a PC/laptop. To go ahead with this process since you would be needed to use ADB to get the navigation bar to hide fully.

  • First of all, you have to download and install the Hide Navigation Bar application through the Google Play Store.
  • So now you would have to turn on the Developer Options on your smartphone.

  • Head to the Settings > About phone > Software information.
  • Click on Build number 7 times.
  • So now you have to turn on the USB Debugging through the Developer options

  • Now open the Settings > Developer options > Toggle on USB debugging.
  • Simply go to your computer and download the ADB tools.
    • Download the SDK Platform Tools — Windows, Linux, and Mac.
  • Once you have downloaded the SDK Platform Tools, simply now extract the tools to a convenient location on your computer.
  • Start by connecting your Samsung device to your computer through a USB cable.
    1. Confirm the USB connection is set to Transferring files.
    2. This can be done through the notification tray itself.

  • Here you have to go to the SDK Tools folder you extracted in step 5.
    • Press Shift+Right tap and choose Open command prompt here.
    • On the other hand, simply search for the command prompt on your computer. Then paste the Platform Tools folder address by using the following command.

  • cd “paste the folder address” and hit enter.
    • Enter the command “adb devices” just to confirm that your smartphone is recognized.
  • Now, you have to enter the following command:
    • adb shell pm grant com.ivianuu.hide navbar android. permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS

That’s all.

However, at this point, you have to go to the Hide Navigation Bar application. And confirm that the Main Switch option is turned on. Now you have to easily toggle on and off the navigation bar through the notification toggle.

Whether you select to hide the navigation bar with this procedure. So then you not have to navigate around the OS. Till you turn on the navigation bar through the notification toggle each time.
