To create a backup of your android devices is very easy.  Android 4.0 and above version devices can be backed up by using the  Android SDK. It helps you to save your file on to your PC. The whole data which you backed up from your phone will also store into a backup file of your PC.

How to create a backup of your files on your PC:

First of all, Install the latest version of the Android Software development kit(SDK) Tools.

  • After that download the android studio. If you have already downloaded then simple open Android Studio. Now select the SDK Manager available on the android studio menu bar.  After opening that install the package of Android SDK Platform-tools given oven there.
  • Then run the  SDK Manager,. Now check the  Android SDK Platform-tools options after that select and Install x packages.

  • Move to the Settings and open it. Click on the  About phone option.
  • Click on the  Build number of your device and tap it  7 times.  When you tap it 7 times it moves you to the Developer mode.
  • In the Settings open the Developer options now set the  USB debugging option to On. By using the USB cable connect your device to your computer.
  • Run the  command prompt and move to the location ADB option is available. It is normally available in the SDK platform tools. You can also use the command to type information to backup.
  • ADB backup -all:    It saves all the system data but, not the app itself.
  • ADB backup -all -f C:\filenameichoose.ab:  –  In this command, you can set a location to which file you want to create the data.

  • Enter the command which you want to enter and press Enter.  A new screen appears on your device.

  • Add a password for your backup which you want to create. For the restore purpose, you can also use this password. Now click on the  Back up my data option and then data will be backed up.

How to Restore Backup Files:

If you want to restore the backup file, You just have to open the command prompt and enter the following command. The command is ADB restore which helps you to restore the backup files. These files will be restored from the platform-tools. After that enter, the password of the backup, and your files will be restored.
