  • Extract or Unzip the CF-Auto-Root file, on your PC. (With using 7-zip free software, preferably)You guys will get the following files:

    • Odin3.ini
    • tmax.dll
    • zlib.dll
  • Disconnect the Galaxy S5 from the PC if it is connected actually.
  • Double-tap on the Odin3-v3.07.exe file in order to open Odin.
  • Then just boot your Galaxy S5 into Download Mode:
    • Power off your device first and then you have to wait for 6-7 seconds after the display is off.
    • Then click on and hold these 3 buttons together unless you guys see Warning! screen: Volume Down + Power + Home.
    • Now click on Volume Up now in order to continue to Download Mode.

  • You have to connect Galaxy S5 to PC. Odin window will show an Added!! message in the bottom left box. Odin’s screen would actually look like this:

  • Now in the Options section of Odin, you have to make sure that the Re-Partition box is unchecked. (Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time boxes remain checked as well, however, all other boxes remain unchecked.)
  • You have to double-check the above two steps.
  • Press the Start button in order to begin flashing CF-Auto-root on your T-Mobile Galaxy S5, and then wait until you see a PASS! message in Odin’s top left box as well.
  • Whenever you get either RESET! or PASS! the message, your phone will then reboot into recovery and root your Galaxy S5 and again restart automatically as well. You guys can also then disconnect your phone from your PC.

If you guys see the FAIL message rather than the RESET or PASS in Odin’s top left box, that’s actually a problem. Then try this now: disconnect your Galaxy S5 from PC, close Odin, remove the phone’s battery and then put it back inside in 3-4 seconds. Well, it may happen that your phone does not automatically boot into recovery as well as root your phone. In that case, just follow the following above procedure except that in Step 7, the Auto Reboot option is un-checked, and then follow the instructions below:

  • You need to pull out the battery and then re-insert it.
  • Boot your T-Mobile Galaxy S5 into Recovery Mode: just Press and hold these 3 buttons together: Volume Up + Power + Home.
