Then, another menu opens with three various options for resizing your photo. The sizing options provide Small (0.25 MP) for profile picture and thumbnails, Large (4 MP) for viewing, and Medium (2MP) for emails. However, you will then view the original MP size of the picture, so you need a reference point. Select the size you like and then where you like the resized image saved.

You should also note that the resizing options vary depending on the real size of the picture. For instance, if you have a photo that is already big in size, then some resizing options will be grayed out. And if you have a picture that’s too small. Then the resize option is unavailable.


Currently, in the Photos app resizing options are basic and it can’t offer a whole lot of choice. If you want to resize pictures to a specific size for a school or work project, it’s usually good to go with many powerful third-party applications like or SnagIt.
