Method 1: Confirm notification setting is set to ‘sound and pop-up’

  • So you have to first head to the Settings app > App & notifications > Advanced > Special app access > Adaptive notifications > choose None.

Method 3: Removing cache and storage of the app 

Here you have to firstly, move to the apps that you have trouble getting notifications for and remove their cache. Similarly, if it is not a sure-fire way to receive your notifications back but this might help.

  • Head to the Settings app > Apps & notifications > See all apps.
  • So then you have to find the app that you are not getting pop-up notifications from here.
  • Now you have to click the app’s name and then click Storage & cache.
  • Simply then click the ‘Clear cache’ to clear its cache. And tap ‘Clear storage’ to reset the app.

Furthermore, the clearing app’s storage will clear all the data of the app. So you have to confirm to back up its data beforehand. For instance, back up texts before clearing storage of the Messaging app. However, if clearing the app’s cache does not solve it, and try removing its storage.
