I had a window that fell off my screen completely during my use of Microsoft Window. In the taskbar, right-click the window and select Maximize and this will bring it back. But there was no solution to get the window restored to where I could move it around my screen with my mouse. Here we will discuss how to tab stuck off-screen.

Fortunately, there are many ways to bring off-screen windows back to the desktop screen.

Solution 1 – Resolution Trick

Window 10 & 8

  1. Initiate the problematic application.
  2. Choose the “Display setting” after right-clicking a blank area of the Desktop.
  3.  Choose the ” Advance Display setting” at the window’s bottom.
  4.  Select “Apply” after temporarily changing the “Resolution” to another value.
  5. Look if you can see the window on your screen now.
  6. Modify the resolution back to the original value, then choose “OK”.

Window 7

  1. Start the dubious application.
  2. Right-clicking blank area of the Desktop, then select “Screen Resolution”.
  3. For the time being, change the “Resolution” to another value and select “Apply”.
  4. Look if you can see the window on your screen now.
  5. Change the resolution back to the preceding value, then choose “OK”.

Solution 2 – Show Desktop Toggle

  1. Press “D” after holding down the Window Key. Keep repeating these steps in order to see whether the window you are looking for will reappear.
  2. Soon right-click a blank area of the taskbar then select “Show the desktop” and then repeat

Solution 3 – Move Option 1

  1. Choose the program in the taskbar.
  2. Hold the Window Key while pressing Left-Arrow or Right Arrow repeatedly to move the window back into view

Solution 4 – Move Option 2

  1. Hold down the “Shift” key while right-clicking the program in the taskbar in Window 10,8,7 and choose “Move”. In Window XP, right-click the item in the taskbar and choose “Move”. There are times when you have to choose “Restore” and then go back to select “Move”.
  2. Move your window onto the screen with help of a mouse or the arrow keys on the keyboard.

Solution 5 – Cascade Windows

Right-click a blank of the taskbar, then choose “Cascade Window”.

Solution 6 – Maximize

There are times when a single app will stick in the state where it cannot be modified onto the window. You can usually lessen this by doing the following.

Hold down “Shift” and right-click on the program icon in the taskbar and then select “Maximize”

If you properly exit out of the application while it is on screen and most of the application, quit doing this. You might need to uninstall or reinstall the application if you have already exited the application.

Select “Properties” after right-clicking the icon for the application. Under the “Shortcut” tab, alter the “Run” setting to “Maximize” and choose “OK”.
